Vision improvement is usually noticed within 24 hours but it may take up to a month until it reaches its peak improvement.

- 80.5% of patients had 20/20 or better vision without glasses.
- 98.8% had 20/40 or better vision without glasses
Enhancements and/or Reoperations
Because each eye responds a little differently to the INTACS procedure,
enhancements are an integral part of the post-op care and are not an indicator
of any "problem" with the surgery.
The INTACS rings are fairly simple to remove or replace should the result
not be satisfactory for the patients. Therefore, INTACS enhancements are even
easier than the INTACS procedure itself. However in most cases, enhancements
are not advised until the eye is stable. This frequently takes up to 3
months.
- Mild Myopia (-1.0 to -3.0 diopters)
- 21 years of age or older
- Stable refraction for at least 12 months
- <1.0 Diopters of astigmatism
